About Ca'Terria

Hi, I'm Ca'Terria. I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, but before I'm a dietitian, I'm a person who understands that our relationship with food and our health can be complicated. I created Gracefully Blessed Nutrition because I believe people deserve a different kind of nutrition care. One where you don't have to be afraid of food. One where your worth isn't determined by your weight. One where you can work toward better health without being shamed for where you are today. And most importantly, one where there is room for grace.
My Journey to Becoming a Dietitian
My path to becoming a dietitian wasn't perfectly straight, and honestly, I'm grateful for that. I earned my bachelor's degree in Dietetics from Life University before completing my master's degree in Dietetics and supervised practice internship at Marshall University. My training gave me the scientific foundation to practice nutrition, but my experiences outside the classroom taught me some of the most important lessons about caring for people.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with people navigating bariatric surgery, emotional eating, binge eating, diabetes, weight and metabolic health, and other complex relationships with food and their bodies. I've learned that nutrition counseling isn't simply about telling someone what to eat. It's about listening, understanding, and helping someone figure out what is actually getting in the way to find practical ways forward.
My Approach to Nutrition
My approach is rooted in evidence-based nutrition, compassion, curiosity, and whole-person care. I don't believe there is one-size-fits-all plan that works for everyone. Your nutrition care should consider your health, preferences, culture, routines, and life realities. I'm also passionate about helping people move away from the constant cycle of restriction, guilt, and overeating.
"What does my body need?"
"What is this experience trying to tell me?"
"What would sustainable care look like for me?"
Faith Is Part of My Story
My faith is an important part of who I am and the heart behind Gracefully Blessed Nutrition. I believe God created our bodies with intention, and caring for ourselves can be an expression of stewardship rather than punishment. I want this to be a welcoming place where people can receive compassionate care, and for those who desire it, I'm honored to create space for faith-centered support.
Beyond the Credentials
Yes, I'm a dietitian with extensive training and credentials. But I'm also someone who knows what it's like to have complicated feelings about food and health. I want you to leave our appointments feeling heard, equipped, and capable of taking your next step. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.
I'm Glad You're Here
Whether you're working through emotional eating, navigating bariatric nutrition, or managing a health condition, you deserve care that sees you as a whole person. I'm honored to walk alongside you. Let's take the next step together.
